The company’s subsidiary, Waaree Energy Storage Solutions, recently raised ₹1,003 crore from strategic investors to establish a 20 GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant, part of a larger ₹10,000 crore expansion plan.
The ₹1,003 crore funding will be used to accelerate the construction and commissioning of a 20 GWh lithium-ion cell and battery pack manufacturing facility in India & This funding is an initial tranche of the company’s broader ₹10,000 crore capital expenditure program aimed at creating a vertically integrated energy storage manufacturing hub.
The new plant is intended to cater to demands across utility-scale storage systems, electric vehicles (EVs), and distributed energy applications, supporting India’s domestic supply chains in battery technology

On January 5, 2026, NBCC announced the receipt of new work orders worth approximately ₹134.05 crore for educational infrastructure projects in Odisha (₹45.87 crore from Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Odisha, and ₹88.18 crore from the Odisha School Programme Authority, Bhubaneswar, Odisha), This followed other recent orders, including those worth approximately ₹220.31 crore announced on December 31, 2025.
The company settled a long-standing land dispute with the Government of the NCT of Delhi (GNCTD) over a 42.46-acre land parcel, granting NBCC development rights.

On January 5, 2026, Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) announced that its subsidiary, Motherson Electronic Components Private Limited (MECPL), successfully secured incentives under the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.
The incentives are granted for a duration of six financial years, spanning from FY 2025-26 to FY 2030-31 and company expects to make a cumulative investment of approximately ₹1,900 crore over this period.
MECPL was selected under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) specifically for the production of enclosures for the consumer electronics industry and this expansion at its manufacturing facility in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, is projected to generate over 5,000 new employment opportunities.
Axis Bank
Axis Bank’s gross advances reached ₹11.71 lakh crore in Q3 FY26, a 14.1% increase year-over-year (YoY) and a 3.7% rise sequentially (quarter-on-quarter, QoQ), This growth was driven by strong performance across various segments, especially in the retail, SME, and mid-corporate sectors.
Retail loans grew by 11% YoY and accounted for 60% of the net advances in Q3 FY25. Specific strong performers within retail included rural loans, which grew 17% YoY, and personal loans, which increased 17%.

Adani Power Ltd
Company won a legal victory in India’s Supreme Court and ambitious long-term expansion plans, The Supreme Court of India set aside a 2019 Gujarat High Court order, ruling that the government cannot levy customs duty on electricity supplied from a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA).
The court declared the previous levy “without authority of law” and directed authorities to refund the customs duty collected from Adani Power’s Mundra plant within eight weeks.
Adani Power has significantly increased its long-term installed capacity target to 41.87 GW by FY32, up from a previous goal of 30.67 GW & company has committed approximately ₹2 lakh crore (USD 24 billion) in capital expenditure to meet rising power demand through 2032.

ONGC and MOL form joint venture and in joint venture each hold a 50% stake in two entities registered in Gift City, Gandhinagar Bharat Ethane One IFSC Private Ltd and Bharat Ethane Two IFSC Private Ltd.
Each JV will own and operate a Very Large Ethane Carrier (VLEC) under the Indian flag & These vessels will transport ethane from the United States to supply ONGC Petro additions Ltd (OPaL) at its Dahej facility.
